Zebrix Group Inc. was founded by Zack Butler and Brandon Walker to build the contractor institutional owners actually need: a TDLR-licensed HVAC and mechanical firm that delivers complete MEP scopes and temporary cooling and power rentals under one contract — and documents every job with technology it builds itself.
Brandon brings more than three decades of mechanical contracting. A Local 211 journeyman who graduated second in his class, he joined Gregory-Edwards Inc. as an apprentice in 1988 and rose to Senior Project Manager, Senior Estimator, and Acting General Contractor on HVAC and MEP projects up to $12 million, with direct in-house experience running generator, spot-cooler, portable-chiller, and temporary-power rentals. He leads HVAC and mechanical delivery, rentals, estimating, and field execution.
Zack is a Texas native and U.S. Navy veteran with a service-connected disability, with a BS in Economics from Texas A&M and a Professional MBA from SMU. After energy trading, risk, and data roles in Houston and as Lead Risk Manager at Amazon, he moved into commercial roofing business development and built the AI platform Zebrix runs on. He leads business development, technology, and Pulsix AI — Zebrix's building-intelligence research program.
That combination is the point: the contracting gives our research real buildings to learn from, and the research makes our contracting more precise. Zebrix is SBA-certified SDVOSB and Texas VetHUB-certified, with active SAM.gov and Texas CMBL registrations.
Our Mission
To deliver licensed HVAC and mechanical contracting, complete MEP scopes, and temporary cooling and power to Texas state agencies, federal facilities, and data centers — with technology that makes every project transparent — and to lead research that helps buildings, data centers, and communities run more efficiently together.
Leadership Team
A Texas native and U.S. Navy veteran with a service-connected disability, Zack served as a Senior Hospital Corpsman at Camp Pendleton. Holds a BS in Economics from Texas A&M (Cum Laude) and a Professional MBA from SMU. He built his career in Houston energy trading and risk, then as Lead Risk Manager at Amazon, before moving into roofing as Senior Business Developer and AI Advisor at Range Roofing. He developed Zebrix's proprietary AI platform in-house to solve the operational problems he witnessed firsthand in contracting.

Brandon handles HVAC and industrial cooling, equipment rentals, mechanical estimating, field execution, and operational delivery for Zebrix.
BS from Texas A&M's College of Architecture, focused in Construction Management and Urban Planning. Shelby brings hands-on experience in preconstruction coordination, bid management, and cost analysis — tracking 50–100 subcontractor and vendor bids per project across up to five concurrent scopes. She handles bid packaging, scope development, subcontractor coordination, and document control for Zebrix.
More than 25 years leading repair, maintenance, and facility operations for major industrial and energy-services firms, including Baker Hughes, Nabors Drilling Solutions, Altitude Energy Partners, and US Coring. Ron has overseen maintenance programs across eight U.S. plants and international operations in Saudi Arabia and Latin America — directing production scheduling, equipment maintenance, capital expenditure planning, HS&E compliance, and workforce development. Mechanical Engineering Technology diploma (with honors) and 4th Class Steam Engineering diploma from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology. Ron manages field execution, scheduling, site safety, and quality control on Zebrix projects.
